Co-Sponsorship for Continuing Education Credit

Iowa Nursing Continuing Education Provider
Number 68
All non-approved providers requesting the
Iowa School Nurse Organization (ISNO) to cosponsor
a continuing education offering for the purpose
of providing nursing continuing education credit-CEUs
shall submit the following information no later
than four weeks in advance of an offering to
ISNO:
1. The brochure or flyer advertising the offering
This must include:
a. Title of the workshop
b. Date, time, and location
c. Statement of purpose
d. Educational objectives
e. Intended audience
f. Credentials of presenters
g. CEUs to be offered
h. Fee
i. Items covered by the fee
j. Refund and late registration policies
k. The Iowa School Nurse Organization - Iowa
nursing continuing education provider # 68
shall appear on the brochure as being the continuing
education credit provider and co-sponsor
2. A schedule or agenda for the program
3. Curriculum Vitae of all faculty and/or
presenters
A request for co-sponsorship may be submitted
in writing or by phone. The ISNO continuing
education chair or a board member will review
the information to determine if all criteria
of the Iowa Board of Nursing are met.
Upon approval a co-sponsorship letter of agreement
shall be forwarded to the non-approved provider.
The letter of agreement shall delineate responsibilities
of both parties and be signed by both parties.
Non-approved providers will be required to
forward a roster of participants and evaluation
data to ISNO at the completion of the offering.
ISNO will maintain all program and participant
records and submit necessary documentation
to the board of nursing as outlined in the
Iowa Board of Nursing Administrative Rules
on Continuing Education.
The cost for each CEU Certificate
will be $5 for ISNO members and $25 for non-ISNO
member.
